席 敬：男，汉族，湖北当阳人，中共党员，博士，教授，三峡学者，高等学校来华留学质量认证专家，教育部全国专业学位水平评估论文质量评估专家，湖北省翻译学会常务理事，湖北省欧美同学会第二届常务理事，中国人力资源管理学会劳动关系分会理事，《外语跨学科研究》主编，Journal of Social Transformation and Regional Development编委，《三峡大学学报》（人文社会科学版）编委。
先后毕业于三峡大学英语教育专业，武汉大学英语语言文学专业，英国伦敦南岸大学国际管理专业，分别获文学硕士（2002）和哲学博士学位（2016）。先后到法国克莱蒙二大（1999），英国伦敦大学（2007）研修。长期从事涉外教育和管理工作，先后到访世界40多个国家的高校和科研机构，积累了丰富的翻译和跨文化管理实践。
现为教育部备案基地三峡大学尼泊尔研究中心主任，三峡大学外国语学院院长。长期从事跨文化管理、国际关系、翻译、中文国际教育的教学与研究工作。近年来，出版专著2部，发表核心及以上论文30余篇。主持国家社科基金1项，教育部国别和区域研究项目2项，科技部重大引智专项2项，教育部语合中心项目2项，承担湖北省英语授课品牌课程项目。获批省部级以上智库成果7项，其中获中央主要领导人批示1项。其主持的教学和科研成果分别获湖北省教学成果一等奖1项（2018），中国电力行业国际化人才培养优秀成果十佳项目（2018），中国水利教育协会第二届水利职工创新成果二等奖（2022），湖北省翻译学术成果奖二等奖2项（2017,2020）。曾获得湖北省外事侨务工作先进个人（2013），全国来华留学模范个人（2014），湖北省疫情防疫语言服务先进个人（2020）等称号。主持课程《中国概况》（英语）获批湖北省一流课程（2021）。
席敬同志还承担了本科生《文化人类学》（双语）《社会学》（双语），留学生《国际关系概论》以及研究生《跨文化交际与翻译》《高级英语》《近现代中国对外关系》《中华文化及传播》等课程的教学任务。

Dr. Jing Xi, awarded the prestigious title of "Three Gorges Scholar" at China Three Gorges University (CTGU), is a distinguished professor and leading expert in cross-cultural studies, international relations, and translation pedagogy. He holds multiple authoritative appointments, including:
Expert Reviewer for the Academic Degree Center of the Ministry of Education (since 2017);
Quality Assessment Expert for the National Professional Degree Evaluation by the Ministry of Education (since 2021);
Executive Director of the Hubei Translators Association;
Editor-in-chief of the Journal of Interdisciplinary Foreign Studies, and Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Social Transformation and Regional Development and the Journal of Three Gorges University (Humanities & Social Sciences);
Vice President of the Yichang Photography Association (2018–2023, currently serving as Advisor);
President of the Yichang English Society (since 2024).
Dr. Xi earned hisPhD in Management and Cross-Cultural Studies from London South Bank University, UK. He holds an MA in English Literaturefrom Wuhan University and a Diploma in English Language Teaching from CTGU. His international academic training includes intensive French language studies at Université Clermont Auvergne, France (1999–2000).
Currently, Dr. Xi serves as the dean of the School of Foreign Studies (SFS) at CTGU;Director of the Nepal Research Center (a Ministry of Education-approved Country & Region Studies Base since 2016);Postdoctoral Supervisor at CTGU (since 2023).Previously, he led CTGU’s Department of International Relationsand College of International Cultural Communications, driving global partnerships with 80+ universities across 40+ countries.
Dr. Xi’s interdisciplinary research spans Cross-cultural management,Country/Region Studies,Cultural translation. He has secured funding for 22+ research projects, including National Social Science Fund, Ministry of Science & Technology, Hubei Provincial First-Class Course. His 40+ publications appear in SSCI/SCI-indexed journals and core Chinese journals.
Dr. Xi pioneers globally oriented curricula at the Undergraduate, and Graduate International Students levels. His Accolades & Recognition include the National Model Individualfor International Student Education (2014, MOE);Hubei Provincial Awards: Outstanding Foreign Affairs Worker (2013), Academic Achievement Prize for Monographs (2021) and Translations (2018, 2020); Industry Innovation Prizes: Top 10 International Talent Cultivation Projects (China Power Education Association, 2018), Second Prize for Innovation (China Water Conservancy Education Association, 2022).
Dr. Xi’s policy consultations on Nepal/Bangladesh geopolitics (2025) received direct endorsements from China’s national leadership, while his reports on public signage standardization (2024) and international student education (2023) informed Hubei Provincial policy reforms.
